The “Yellow brick road” to funding
The Chicago Sun-Times’s Brad Spirrison just wrote a great article on the Midwest Co-invest Network’s initiative to get more deals done by syndicating them across multiple angel networks.
The initiative is run by Dennis Serio, who also runs the Business & Investor forum. He uses Angelsoft to back end the process and make things more efficient.
Here at Angelsoft we’re big fans of co-investment and/or syndication. We don’t care what you call it, but we’ve seen several deals get done by a group of investment networks, and the results are amazing. Rather than being limited to the .5 - 1.5 million that a typical group can do, syndicated deals can reach the 2 and $3 million mark with no problems!
