Angelsoft 2.3 Released


As the New Year kicks into gear, our developers have been hard at work on many important improvements to Angelsoft. As a result, we were able to release 13 major features along with 167 improvements and bug fixes. To see the full release notes click here. Some of the more notable changes include:

MESSAGE CENTER OVERHAUL:

Communication is an essential part of Angelsoft, so we ripped through our messaging system to make it as easy to use as possible. Changes include:

  • Message Forum - The message forums received a complete makeover. The design has have been enhanced for usability and the code has been optimized for a dramatic boost in speed.
  • Email Preferences – Now users have greater control over which emails they will receive from Angelsoft. You can easily check out this feature with our new Email Preferences link that will always be located in the top right corner of your screen.
  • Email to Interested Investors - When you post a new message to a deal’s message forum, you can now easily see the list of the interested investors that will receive your email.
  • Email replies only to me – When you are sending out a message to your group, you often want to receive the replies without spamming the rest of your group. An “Email replies only to me” checkbox has been added to all message dialogs to address this.
  • Email Message Refactoring – We picked apart every email that Angelsoft sends out to make sure they are clear and easy to understand.

OTHER NEW FEATURES:

  • Deal Lead Tools – Deal Administrators can now create deal-specific events from the Deal Dashboard where they can invite members based on their level of interest in the deal. They can also move deals they are leading through the groups folders.
  • Member Activity Reports – Activity reports are now organized by group. Changes made by Administrators are also noted. Eg. Mike Smith’s interest level updated to “Observing” (by John Admin)
  • Support for Safari 3 - Today, we are proud to add the new Safari 3 for the Mac to our list of supported browsers on Angelsoft.
  • Improved Internationalization - French, German, Russian, Swedish, and more! Angelsoft’s support for international character, as well as its international date and time formats has dramatically improved.
  • Better Names for PDF Applications – We added the deal name to the front of entrepreneur applications. Eg. Dealname-application.pdf

IMPROVED EXPERIENCE:

  • Server Improvements - Angelsoft’s servers went through a major overhaul and now employ clustering technologies to achieve full server redundancy. What that means in English: Angelsoft is now faster and more stable.
  • Screen Sharing For Entrepreneurs – Angelsoft users have enjoyed the ability to share their screen with our support team. We thought entrepreneurs applying for funding should have the same supportive experience.
  • Automatic Error Reporting – Reporting an application error to us can be time consuming, especially if you encounter it more than once. Now, the system notifies us whenever a user encounters an error and provides us with the information we need to start investigating.
