Our ideal investment would be a start-up or early stage deal that is located, or has plans to locate, in the mid-Missouri area and is looking to raise $250,000-$500,000. This venture would possess protected intellectual property or some other viable means to sustain its competitive advantage. Ideally, this venture has already been successful in securing non-dilutive capital such as SBIR/STTR grants. Revenues of $20,000,000 or more by year five, along with a goal of exiting within three to seven years after funding are desirable objectives. The management team will have developed a business plan that addresses the opportunity/need in the marketplace, the proposed solution, the ability to compete, the get-to-market strategy, the operating plan, the venture team credentials, the revenue model and pro-forma financial statements (detailed cash-based operating plan for the first 24 months), the funding level sought, use of funds, deal terms, and anticipated form of exit.
