BWA's IDEAL investments are in promising companies located within a two hour drive of mid-Michigan, with an experienced management team and existing customers. BWA wants to invest in scalable companies that have a clear path to an exit opportunity. The sector isn't necessarily an important criteria, however BWA members are interested in investing in industries they are familiar with. BWA members want to add value to their investment portfolio companies by providing contacts, advise, etc. in addition to their capital. IDEALLY, an exit would occur in 3-5 years and deliver a 30X return.
